Hello Cherie. I'm very excited to have found the Duck family descendants site and Facebook page. I'd like to find out more and wondered if I could join. Eliza Amelia Duck, married to Stafford Middleton Lowe, was my mum's grandmother. Her mother, Lorna Marion Middleton Lowe was married to Raleigh Farlow. I was very impressed to find Mum (Barbara Kay Stringer née Farlow) listed in the book. Unfortunately there were photos over the text I needed to read, but I think I managed.
Mum had a vague memory of her grandmother being a twin. I was happy to find that was correct, by reading the page from the Duck book. She called her a different name, so I originally had a lot of trouble finding out that her surname was Duck.
I noticed a couple of errors and have some additional information and possibly photos? If you are interested. Please let me know.
I had managed to trace Eliza Amelia's line back to John Duck (1742) and Mary Cesting (1747) before I found your site. It is lovely to be able to read more about them and the history of the Duck clan. Thank you for all your hard work. Regards, Jo Thompson

Incorrect Information
Hello, I would like to draw your attention to an error you have made and hope that I am not too late and you have not published your family history yet. My great grandmother was Edith Linda Clifford. Her father was John Clifford (son of William Clifford and Edith Ann Pullen). This John Clifford married Mary Ann Riley in Scone in 1867 (I have a copy of their marriage certificate) He was the publican of the Golddiggers Arms Hotel at Moonan Brook. There were 2 John Cliffords in the Hunter Valley at the same time. The other John Clifford (I suspect your John Clifford) married Mary Duck. I think they lived near Maitland and there are mentions of this John Clifford in the 'Maitland Mercury'. My John Clifford had 9 children (not only the three you have mentioned). I know this to be fact as I got this information directly from my great grandmother herself and the available records support it too. Sorry!
